MARASEALSM
Total Zone Isolation and Matrix Shut-off
MARASEALSM gel is formulated with low molecular weight polymers that allows for penetration into matrix pore spaces for a complete shut-off squeeze treatment. Unlike MARCITSM technology, which does not enter the matrix, MARASEAL is specifically designed with low viscosity prior to crosslinking to aid in injectivity. The concentration of MARASEAL is much higher, about five wt%, which results in a rubber-like ringing gel. When placed in small openings such as pore throats and small channels in cement behind casing, the result is total shut-off. MARASEAL is a clear fluid that works by entering the reservoir and reducing permeability, not by simply plugging the perforation as in cement treatments.
MARASEAL is never a drill-out problem. Simply wash through any material left in the pipe for easy clean out. The working time of MARASEAL is easily controlled by adjustments to the formulation to achieve a working time to minimize rig time or maximize pumping time.
